Aggie Family

At the Aggie & Iowa State game this weekend, it's Military Appreciation Day. They asked for pictures of former Aggies currently serving in the military to use in a 12th Man Tribute Video they're going to show during the game. I submitted this photo, not sure if we'll make the cut, but if you're going to the game you can look for us. :)

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY JACE!!

Jace opening his presents...thank you Aunt Jenn for my blue monkey!!...He already opened his other presents earlier this week as he got them so thank you grandparents & great-grandparents

He really likes reading about hockey...thanks Uncle Guy...Sydney sleeping through the festivities...
Jace got a hockey net for his birthday and was celebrating his goal...We asked Jace what he wanted to eat for his birthday dinner, his first response was giraffes...when asked again he said pancakes. I even asked him later if he wanted a cookie cake for his birthday he said no, pancakes. So we had blueberry pancakes for dinner.

...my first week

This week has been a little busy...we found out the results of Sydney's EKG on Wednesday...they said she has a ventricular septal defect...or rather a hole in her heart. We really don't know much else, but should once we see pediatric cardiologist on the 30th of this month. Other than that she's still hanging out on the biliblanket because she's still jaunice (we go Tues. for hopefully our last bilirubin check). We also had to start supplementing with formula this week because my milk supply is not quite up to her demand yet. She's really doing well other than that...she sleeps a lot, but is starting to have more periods of awakeness and she just likes checking out her world. Jace is still adjusting but really starting to interact more with Sydney. He will tell you that she's his sister and today he tried to feed her juice and pancakes for breakfast. :)

...the past few days

Life is definitely busier with a second little one. We are slowly getting settled into being a family of four. Sydney has been jaundice just like Jace was, so we've been up at the hospital the past two days for bilirubin checks. Thankfully they've started coming down today and we can just use the biliblanket they sent us home with until the end of the week and avoid a hospital stay. Sydney is also scheduled for an EKG tomorrow to check out a heart murmur the pediatrician heard, so we have yet to have a hospital free day, hopefully by Thursday we'll be able to resume some normalcy. Below are some pictures from the past few days...

I can do it myself...

Jace decided to help himself to a second helping of cereal this morning...
He showed me that it was suppose to go in his bowl...somehow he missed.

Fun with Grammy & Poppa

Jason's Dad and Step-Mom stopped by for a quick visit this past weekend. It was great to catch up and Jace loved all the extra attention. :)
