forever friends

The movers finished up today!! We are officially loaded up and heading to California tomorrow.  It’s definitely bittersweet.  We are so excited about the next adventure the Lord is taking us on, but it’s so hard to say goodbye to our dear friends here!!  Sara posted some last pictures of Jace, Bailey, Taylor, & Sydney…and wrote a post I could echo every word to.  We will miss them so much and feel so blessed to have walked life with them these past 4 1/2 years.

Here is a sweet pic that Jenn took a little while back that just captures these precious kiddos.  (My camera is still being fixed so I haven’t taken quite as many pics, but will post some of our last week soon.)

bugs & bubbles

…Jace has been looking for more bugs to fill his bug box…we had caught 2 caterpillars which actually both made cocoons and turned into beautiful butterflies ugly brown moths…they took almost 2 weeks to complete their transformation, so we were beginning to worry they weren’t going to do it, but Jace got to watch metamorphosis first hand. :)  Both kiddos enjoy blowing bubbles…Sydney is still trying to figure it all out, but managed to blow 1 bubble.

Planes…Rain…& Duty

Yesterday Jason had duty…so I took the kiddos to the New River Air Show…great fun except within 10 minutes of getting there we endured 2 torrential downpours…thankfully the sun came out and we dried out…Jace loved the planes…afterwards we headed to Daddy’s office to take him some dinner and say goodnight…

Children’s Museum

We headed up to Winston-Salem last week…I had to go to get some skin testing done and we decided to find a little fun…kids loved the children’s museum…and I finally found out what was causing the eczema on my hands and face…found out I’m allergic to Vitamin E and lanolin…who knew…lots of skin products have Vitamin E in them, but the biggest culprit I think was the diaper wipes I was using…already seen improvement after switching brands… on another note…still missing my good camera, but it’s being fixed so hopefully some better pictures for your enjoyment soon…

Strawberry Picking

Today was a beautiful day and we headed to Southwest Strawberry Farm to pick some yummy strawberries…it was a lot of fun…Jace did a great job finding ripe ones, while Sydney sampled several just to be sure…
