The Beach

We don't seem to have consistent warm days so we took advantage of our 66 degree weather today and headed to Carmel beach for 4+ hours!! We had a lot of fun playing in the sand and with friends! Now if only we had weather like this all the time!!

San Francisco

Still have some pictures from the last few weeks I haven’t posted…thankfully finally getting over the yucky nausea of the first trimester, but we’ve all been hit hard with allergies and colds this past week…so here are some pictures from our trip to San Francisco…Jason had a week off after his last quarter, so we headed up to San Francisco for a night…it was a memorable trip for sure!!

These were from our second day there…the first day we went to Alcatraz in a torrential downpour…will post those later…this day we rode the cable cars…ate some sourdough bread, explored Ghirardelli square, Hyde Street Pier, Fisherman’s Wharf and the Coit Tower…

Egg Hunt

They had an Easter egg hunt in our neighborhood…although it was more like an egg pick-up…they were all just thrown in a field of grass…not much thought in finding them, but the kiddos had a lot of fun...

Easter

We have thoroughly enjoyed our weekend preparing for Easter…I love the ages of the kiddos and how Jace is really starting to understand the reasons why we celebrate.  We enjoyed making Resurrection Rolls (find directions here) this morning.  Only I accidentally picked up garlic butter crescent rolls and didn’t realize it until we were half-way finished making them.  It was quite comical…Jace kept saying “Mom these rolls stink.”  and I kept thinking I smelled garlic, but thought my overly sensitive pregnancy nose was just acting crazy.  As I went to open the second can only then did I realize that they were both garlic…thankfully Jason ran to the store while we got ready and continued making them with the original ones…much better.

Jace distraught we had to stop and wait for the plain rolls to come…

…oh these were so not good..

…dipping our marshmallows in butter and spices to remind us how the Lord was covered in oil and spices after being taken off the cross and placed in the tomb…
