Rollerblades
Jace got rollerblades for Christmas and we finally broke them out. He was so excited…had a little trouble staying upright…he managed to get to the end of the driveway and back and he was done…

They just posted some official pictures from the 1/2 marathon… they have a video of the finish line too…I was excited they posted our chip times (they originally only posted the clock time)…mine was just a tad faster…2:31:23

Playground
I finally went for a run today after almost a week break…we stopped at the playground on the way home. The kids had so much fun and played really hard…so much that they both napped over 2 hours…We I enjoyed a nice quiet afternoon.

Before & After

Running & Sickness
That pretty much sums up this week.
Yesterday was my 1/2 marathon in Myrtle Beach. It went really well. My official time was 2:35:16. I was hoping for 2:30, and was on target for that until somewhere between mile 10 and 11 when I began living for the next water station and praying the finish line would come soon. I was happy nevertheless :)
As far as sickness…I feel like it’s been everywhere…poor Sara and Bailey got the flu this week and Sara couldn’t run. (She was the one who convinced me to run this crazy thing). Jace got the stomach bug on Monday and I was thinking that we were really fortunate for no one else to get it, but Sydney did, Friday night. Seriously right as we pulled into the hotel parking lot Sydney threw up in the car and continued through most of the night. Thankfully she was better Saturday morning (for our drive home), still not 100% and running a little fever, but keeping food down. Today it continued with Jace getting a 103 fever and having a cough and runny nose. So far everyone else is fever free, praying it stays that way. Hope this week goes a little better.

Happy Groundhog Day!!
…Spring is just around the corner according to Punxsutawney Phil who is correct about 40% of the time…it feels like Spring here with a temperature of 70 degrees
…we learned a few facts about groundhogs today…and made a groundhog popping out of his hole from hibernation to predict the weather…I think Jace was a little confused…and sorely disappointed that we couldn’t go meet Punxsutawney Phil…it you want to read more about him…there was a funny article about this crazy rodent in the Washington Post…
Craft Time
I decided to let Jace sponge paint and had sponges cut into cute little hearts…well needless to say it turned in to finger painting…there were no cute little hearts on his page…boys!!
