not the headline i wanted to read…

“Paris Flights Remain Grounded After Icelandic Eruption”

So after hearing about this crazy volcano in Iceland erupting I read a few news articles online and was pretty optimistic that I would still be going to Paris in just 5 days.  Throughout the day I kept reading updates…watching the news and right now I’m just not as hopeful.  I’ll keep you posted…but a trip cancelled because of volcanic ash…that just doesn’t happen everyday…only on the days that I’m suppose to go to Paris. A passenger checks the departure screen at Montreal's Trudeau Airport as flights to Paris and other northern European destinations were cancelled due to ash clouds from Iceland's volcano. Travelers gather inside a terminal at the Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport, despite commercial flights being canceled by a plume of volcanic ash originating from Iceland, outside Paris, Friday, April 16, 2010. The Icelandic volcano that erupted Wednesday has sent an enormous cloud of microscopic ash particles across northern Europe, grounding aircraft across the continent.

Delays and stranded passengers…at least I’m not stuck in Paris…although that doesn’t sound too bad huh?

One of my co-workers is actually stuck in Paris. Well, actually, he was stuck in Paris. When they told him that he wouldn't be able to leave for at least 5 days. He decided to head to Spain for a few days.
